This tutorial covers how to program a 2025 Kia Carnival AKL smart key with the Autel MaxiIM IM508S. The function supports both Add Key and All Key Lost (AKL). Before starting key programming, make sure you have the required pin code.
Enter Smart Key Learning
- Go to IMMO >> Manual selection >> Europe >> CARNIVAL(KA4) – For Vietnam >> 2023- >> Smart Key >> Yes >> Hot function >> Smart key learning >> Start.
- The tool warns that this function will erase all existing keys. Select Yes to continue. Any keys that need to remain in use must be relearned.
- Turn the ignition off and make sure the instrument screen is black. Open and close the driver door once, then enter the security code 777325.
Program the Smart Keys
With the Autel IM508S, continue with the smart key learning procedure:
- Confirm the vehicle’s key sensing area. For this vehicle, it is the ignition switch. On some models, the sensing area may be elsewhere, such as the cup holder.
- After pressing OK, within 5 seconds, press the Start/Stop button with the back or top of the smart key against the button for 5 seconds.
- The security lamp will flash and the tool will display Programming succeeded. When prompted Would you like to program the next one?, select Yes and repeat the same procedure for the next key.
- After programming both keys, the tool shows Number of current keys: 2.
Verification
Exit to the vehicle selection menu and check the keys. Both keys can start the vehicle and their basic functions work normally.
