
Problem: My OTOFIX D1 Lite is unable to work when selecting Italian language. It prompted: “Cannot change language during updating!”
Reason
For OTOFIX devices after March 2023 like D1 Max or IM2 were multiple languages bundled; Users can select two required languages after receiving the device without additional authorization.
However, each device only has two opportunities to select the language. When uses select a language, the device will prompt. If the two opportunities are used up, it will no longer be possible to change the language. Or even if changed, the device will not work properly.

Important Note
Users CANNOT change the language after two chances are used up.
Solution
If a new device has issues with language selection:
- Please provide the device serial number &error screenshot to Autel Technical Support.
- Confirm the actual language required.
If the device become unusable after selecting twice, Autel Technical Support will handle it specially. Then, the user needs to follow below steps on the device:
Step1. Long press the OTOFIX icon and pull it towords App-Info.
Step2. Tap “Storage”.
Step3. Tap “CLEAR STORAGE”.
Step4. Go to “Settings >> Language” to change language and check again.
