This is the Autel MaxiTPMS TS501 Pro scanner, which is supported to be as good as the TS508WF. The only difference is TS508WF supports wireless connection while TS501 Pro you have to hook up with a USB cable. Following we’re going to program TPMS sensors for 2012 Toyota Venza with this tool.
TPMS >> Toyota >> Venza >> 11/2008-12/2016(315MHz) >> TPMS Diagnostics
- Trigger all sensors one by one(4 wheels, 5 wheels or 6 wheels) for sensor status.
- Conenct the tool to OBD port for TPMS system.
Check if OBD Diagnosis is supported.
- Check ECU IDs. Read Codes and Erase Codes in OBD Diagnosis.
Press YES.
The Autel TS501 Pro will want you to go to the left front wheel first, put it right next to tire sensor and hit trigger button. Success!
Next, we’re going to do the right front wheel, we’ve got it. Success!
The right rear wheel has the MX-Sensor that we programmed, it also works all right.
The left rear wheel, here we go, success.
Note:
Confirm whether the vehicle has spare tire with a TPMS sensor.
- If no, connect the tool to OBD port and turn the ignition on, then press OK to continue.
- If yes, press Cancel to go back to activate spare tire sensor.
Once we get all sensors done, it tells to plug TS501 Pro into the OBD2 and turn on the car. Press OK.
Read IDs successful.
Read DTCs successful.
Everything is okay.
This is how to scan TPMS sensors and put them into the car. Not all scanners will relearn new style sensors to your car. So you would need a new updated scanncer like TS501 Pro to reprogram and relearn these sensors.
