The Autel MaxiIM IM508S and IM608 II receive new Mercedes-Benz FBS4 functions with V5.40, dated 21/07/2026. The update adds MRG1 ECM cloning, VGS TCM cloning for six supported transmission control modules, and an FBS4 ISM replacement function. These new functions are available under IMMO.
What’s New
MRG1 ECM Cloning
- V5.40 adds a cloning function for MRG1 ECM.
- Requires G-BOX3 for the cloning operation.
- Supports on-bench cloning, allowing the module to be cloned without drilling or modifying the housing.
- Provides an option for transferring data to a replacement MRG1 ECM.
VGS TCM Cloning
The update adds cloning functions for the following Transmission Control Modules (TCMs):
- VGS-FDCT
- VGS2-FCVT
- VGS2-FDCT
- VGS3-FDCT
- VGS4-0-NAG2
- VGS4-500-NAG2
The supported VGS TCMs can be cloned on the bench, without drilling or modifying the TCM housing, providing an option when a replacement transmission control module is required.
FBS4 ISM Replacement
V5.40 also adds a replacement function for FBS4 ISM (Intelligent Shift Module).
The replacement function is designed for replacing an FBS4 ISM with another module. It is a replacement function rather than a cloning function.
